Outlying Fells
The 116 lower tops on the edges of Lakeland from Wainwright's eighth book, The Outlying Fells of Lakeland (1974), written for walkers whose knees had started to argue. Many go in small rounds from a single car park. Black Combe is the pick of them; several are barely hills at all, which is part of the charm.
